Amendments to the Regulation for Notaries Archive Services for Preservation and Annihilation of Data announced.

The Regulation requiring the following amendments to the Regulation on Notaries Archive Services has been published in the Official Gazette dated 14 March 2018 and its summary is presented below.

Documents to be taken as basis to the registration procedures of vehicles registered in accordance with Article 1 of the Regulation will also be considered as transactions under Group D as well as contracts for sale and transfer of all kinds of vehicles registered in accordance with the Regulation’s Article 1.

Another amendment introduced with the Regulation is that the preservation period in terms of the transactions under Group D has been increased to 75 years from 15 years. This change in terms of retention is also important for the Protection of Personal Data Act and other legislation.

The Regulation has been enacted as of its publication date 19 March 2018.
