Communique on the Amendment to the Communique for the Required Procedures and Principles in Performing the Obligation of Clarifying.

The Communique on the Amendment to the Communique for the Required Procedures and Principles in Performing the Obligation of Clarifying has been published in the Official Gazette dated 28.04.2019 no. 30758 to be effective from its date of publication.

Amendments to the definitions are intended to ensure the compliance of the Communique with the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law). Data entry system is arranged parallel to the definition of personal data. The provision for performing the obligation of clarifying in each unit that caused much controversy in practice is repealed. This change will reduce data controllers’ burden in terms of operations and we are of the opinion that the clarifying texts to be presented will have a positive effect on the concerned people with regard to clearness.
