Regulation on recycling contribution fee published.

The “Regulation on recycling contribution fee” has been published in the 4th repetitive Official Gazette dated 31 December 2019. Regulation aims to define the administrative and technical procedure and principles about the following from the products included in the list of Annex-1 of the Environmental Law;

• Determination, declaration, collection and monitoring of the recycling contribution fee to be collected from sales points for plastic bags; from marketers/importers for other products,
• The provisions to be followed by the sales points for plastic bags and by the marketers/importers for other products,

Sales points for plastic bags and marketers/importers for other products are held responsible from the payment of the recycling contribution fee.

The Regulation has been enacted as of 1 January 2020.
