What are Web Beacons?
Vergide Gündem occasionally advertises on third-party websites. As part of our effort to monitor the success of our advertising campaigns, we may occasionally use visitor identification technologies such as 'web beacons' or 'action tags' that count visitors to the website via a Vergide Gündem banner ad on a third party website. We use these technologies not to access your personal information but only to compile aggregate statistics, which do not contain personal data, about visitors to the website for the sole purpose of measuring the effectiveness of our advertising.
What is a Cookie?
A 'cookie' is a technology that allows the website you visit to store information ('identifier') on your browser. After each visit, cookies are sent back to the visited website or another web page that recognizes these cookies. Cookies are used to make websites work (or make them work more efficiently) and to provide information to site owners.
Cookies does many different things, such as allowing you to navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving the user experience. Cookies are generally divided into two: essential (strictly necessary) and functional. Essential cookies are cookies that are strictly necessary for a website to function and are not used for any other purpose. On the other hand, optional cookies are used for purposes such as performance and analytics measurements and marketing activities.
There are two fundamental cookie policies:
First party cookies served directly to your device by us.
Third party cookies served on our behalf by a third party.
Cookies may remain on your computer or mobile device for varying periods of time. Some cookies are described as 'session cookies' and only exist while your browser is open. These are automatically deleted as soon as you close your browser. Other cookies are defined as 'persistent cookies' and remain valid even after your browser is closed. These cookies can be used by the website to recognize your computer when you open your browser and reconnect to the internet.
