Utilization permit fee for cellular wireless phone devices brought by passengers redefined as TL 1500.

Pursuant to the section within the Act of Fees tariff no (8) titled as “VIII- Passenger phone usage fee", the utilization permit for cellular wireless phone devices with receiver brought by passengers for self usage with non-commercial purpose is subject to fee. The amount of fee for 2019 has been applied as TL 618,60.

This amount is increased to TL 1500 through the Presidential Decision no.1314 published in the Official Gazette dated 19 July 2019. The Decision is enacted as of 20 July 2019 following the date of publication.

The concerning fee should be paid before the electronic identity information is recorded. In order to register the electronic identity information, a document confirming the payment of the fee is sought and the registration process is not made until the fee is paid. The devices that are registered and opened for use without paying the fee are closed to use by the Information and Communication Technologies Authority. Unpaid fees are collected with a 50% surplus from the first registration date together with the delay hike calculated according to Law No. 6183. The device cannot be used without this collection.
