Under the Communiqué published in the Official Gazette dated 21 September 2024, the following regulations have been added to the “General Communiqué series no. 1 on the Implementation of the National Vehicle Recognition System”.
- Vehicles to be acquired for the first time as of 1 July 2025 are included within the scope of the obligation to have Vehicle Recognition Units (VRU) installed within one month following registration.
- Personal vehicles included in vehicle recognition systems are also obliged to have VRUs installed until 30 June 2025. - Vehicles that do not fall within the scope of the obligation to have VRUs installed are also set forth in the Communiqué.
The Communiqué became effective on the date of its publication (21 September 2024).
